How does your door rate in a crash?
In almost all areas of industry, damage to doors and door equipment is costing business owners and maintenance departments thousands of dollars in repairs and maintenance.
So it's reassuring to know that we’ve already considered what happens to the door when things don’t go to plan...
Remax Rapid Doors
- Our unique soft-edge door curtain system ensures the door operation is virtually impervious to down-time or damage from forklift impact!
- In the event of severe impact to the door curtain, the deformable lower section of the curtain will release out of the tracks and reverse automatically to the open position, where a simple gate in the tracks allows the curtain to re-enter the tracks. The door curtain then continues normal operation.
- With no moving parts in the door columns, even heavy impact to the structural section of the door is unlikely to impair its operation.
Coldshield Impact Swingdoors
- Often referred to as ‘crash-doors’, flexible PVC and thermal swingdoors are often subjected to sustained abuse with trolleys and heavy foot traffic.
- Unique full-height mounting systems arrest the shock and torsion that would otherwise begin to destroy the doors surrounding framework.
Impact shear pins located in the base of the door, allow a controlled break point in the event of severe impact to the lower section of the door. This protects more costly door stiles and framework from structural damage.- Unique spring impact buffers can be fitted to the thermal doors, that compress and absorb the impact of entering traffic.
Stripdoors
- Yes, even our stripdoors have been designed to improve performance in hard-impact access situations. Where traditional flat PVC strip tends to ‘grab’ and stick to pallets and forklifts as they enter, the unique ribbed Bumper-strip profile dramatically reduces drag and improves ease of access. Bumperstrip is far less likely to tear and rip prematurely in busy doorways.
