We always knew, if you have a fast car, you need some fast doors! When designing their service bay, this luxury car dealership required two large, high speed doors to contain the over-spray from the car wash facility, and provide prompt, efficient and automated access for the cars to the area outside.

Due to the large opening widths at the dealership, the Movidor HS65 rapid roller door range was used for the application, with full steel framework componentry, heavy duty guides and multiple integrated curtain battens, the door curtain was strengthened in order to be able to maintain the rigidity in the large width, without buckling. Two large openings were constructed, of dimensions 2400H x 5800W, and 2400H x 5900W. Remax also completed the opening modifications to the application, fabricating and installing steel posts with which to mount the high speed doors.

The Movidor rapid roller doors were installed to contain the over-spray from the car wash-down bays and service areas, when the luxury cars were being cleaned and serviced. Made from a PVC-coated polyester, the Movidor high speed door curtain is water-proof, easy to wash down, and doesn’t retain moisture or promote bacteria growth.

The car dealership required full visibility through the two high speed door curtains, so opted for a light grey curtain, with three levels of windows – a sum total of 36 windows throughout the two rapid roller doors! For activation, alongside the standard push-button assembly, a receiver card for a 4-channel Elsema remote was installed in the Movidor controller.
